If you are building a string to use with another piece of Gilderfluke equipment, this will
probably be the way you will want to send it a binary value from the 1/4-J6 port. A typical
string to select and loop a show looks like this:
|_2Ah_|_HEX_|_22h_|_end_|
The first character is the ʻ*ʼ (2Ah) that is used for the ʻglobal show selectʼ command.
The two digit HEXadecimal value from the 1/4-J6 is sent next (shown by the ʻ_HEX_ʼ).
The ʻglobal loopʼ command ʻʻ (22h) is sent to start the selected show looping.
p) Three character BCD value (displayed as ʻ_BCD_ʼ):
(Binary Mode only) This is used insert the Binary Coded Decimal (BCD) value on the
1/4-J6 input into any string. This is sent as three 8 bit ascii bytes (0-9). Three characters
are always sent, so it is led by ʻ0ʼs if the value is less than 100. Two zeros lead values of
ʻ9ʼ and below.
