key will get you back to the setup mode. All of the setup commands which don't take effect immediate-

ly, take effect when the eXit command is entered. This includes things like the BAUD RATE, so you will

have to change the baud rate of the terminal you are using at this time.

The eXit command asks you if you want to save the current setup permanently. If you answer 'Y', the

EEprom will be written with the current configuration. If you answer 'N', the setup mode will be exited

without writing to the EEprom. Any changes you have made will still be stored in RAM, and so will be used

until the Brick Brain is started up again. When you answer ÔYÕ or ÔNÕ, the screen will remain unchanged,

but you will be out of the configuration mode.

All other Audio Repeater cards and Brick Brains in the same serial network have their serial ports dis-

abled while any card in the system is in setup mode. This is the only command to which they will re-

spond. After the initial 'X', all of the other cards wait for a 'Y' or 'N' before they will start accepting other

serial commands again. If you find that you are having trouble communicating with any of the cards in

the system, try entering an ÔXNÕ to trick it into thinking you have exited the configuration mode.
